Estoy Guapo?

Hey y'all! Here's some pictures from earlier in the week.

Allie, Dulce, me, Bizmarck (Biz) and in front Carlos and Adriana.
Me, Ana, Carlos and Isaias. Isaias and Ana are dating. Ana and I had fun trying to understand each other. She has the cutest shoes! She is almost finished with her degree in computer systems or software, something with computers. ha ha.
 Me and Ana. Crazy glasses!
Heraclio (Hercules in English), one of the becarios (scholarship students) studying agriculture went out back and chopped open some coconuts while his machete so we could try the coconut water. I'm glad I tried it, but I still don't really love coconut stuff.
On the way home from Cerro de Ortega where we did one of the vision clinics.
 Beautiful sunset near the ocean!
 Bus ride home!
Awesome lemon dessert! It's a frozen dessert layered with cookies and some kind of lemon mixture. So good!

There are so many stories that I want to tell! I wish you could all be here to experience them all! Here a  couple quick ones.

We were done with the clinic in Cerro de Ortega and waiting to pack up. So we were talking to the becarios (scholarship college students) and we were explaining contractions in English. Like how I'm and I am, they're, they are mean the same thing, etc. So we were giving examples and saying things like I'm cold, I am tired, etc. What I didn't know is that Molly and Allie had taught them that in America the word 'hot' doesn't always describe temperature, it can also describe attractiveness. You see where this is going right? So I give the example of 'I'm hot!" while fanning myself. They ALL busted up! It was so funny! I turned so red! I didn't think they'd think of that! Ha ha, so much for thinking I was safe. Now it's a running joke. . . good times.

One of the universtiy students is named Joshua and he's cute and he knows it. He's also really funny. He was helping us dispense the glasses and on Friday I happened to be nearby and overhear what he was saying to a couple of the patients. There was a 10 year old girl and he would give her the glasses and then ask if she could see. Then the next thing out of his mouth, "Estoy guapo?"with a huge smile on his face. (Estoy guapo basically means "am i handsome?") Giggles, turning red and looking down from the little girl. It was so funny! I just shook my head and laughed. I heard him do it a couple other times too. My ugly american name that day was Thelma and he was trying to convince me that it really was Te amo, which means I love you. So funny, I'll have to tell you about the name thing later. :)
