Iguanas, Boas and Crocs Oh My!

Hola! On Friday night after the last vision clinic we went up to Ted and Susan's (the founders of Project Amigo, they really have a cool story) for a farewell/recognition dinner. We got to make homemade tortillas, etc. They have a really neat condo/house dealio. Ted gave a little speech and it was all very nice. We'll sure miss the doctors and all the other volunteers. Such great people.
 Isn't that hibiscus muy bonita??
This is the ceiling of the Hacienda del Arroyo where Ted and Susan have a condo. Isn't that so cool?
Isn't that a beautiful painting?
We went to the Tortugario on Saturday morning! It's a turtle preserve right on the beach. They rescue turtle eggs from poachers and other animals. They hatch them and then let the visitors release the baby sea turtles into the ocean. There weren't any when we went, but I still have hope we can do it sometime! This picture is from the boat ride we took out on the lagoon! Obviously this isn't the ocean. There's a strip of land that separate the two. A lot of animals and birds live in or near the lagoon.
Una iguana!
Can you see the birds?

I spy with my little eye. . . un cocodrillo! (crocodile!)

Cricky! Those are huge crocs!

We had such a good time at the beach! We sang That's What Makes You Beautiful while jumping and playing in the waves. It was THE BEST! I love the beach and I love summer weather!!! I couldn't quite contain my excitement. :)
